talk about HP/Weight ratio....lol...i dont think that there is enough room for putting in a L6 from a bimmer, ill check the dimensions when my bro comes home this weekend, but im sure its going to be longer than will fit in our engine bay given you dont mod the front end....the vr6 idea though seems very interesting. if anyway was considering it and lives somewhat close to me i would be glad to try to help...i used to own a 96 passat vr6 and that thing was pretty nice... _________________ 1985 Porsche 944 (old) |

kinda an old thread, but I'm glad I ran into it. I have a friend thats currently putting a VR6 from a corrado into a 924. Just the other day he got the driveshaft connected. He's curently working on extending the torque tube and fab'ing the motor mounts. I'll get pictures up next time I'm at his garage.
TheVR6 engine is alot taller than the 924's when he originally set it in there, it would have required a 5" hood scoop. He's re-routing the air intake with a custom fabrication and trying to figure something out with oil pan. He wants to be able to cram it in without a hood scoop, as original as possible from the outside. |
